SWOT Analysis

In today’s session we work on a SWOT analysis to identify are strengths, weaknesses,opportunity and threats to our learning. Firstly for my strengths I wrote down Indesign,Photoshop,Research and layout of my work. Moreover I believe that these the key skills which I have successful developed over the time in Uni and with my outside work. The next piece of analysis is my weakness which I found easy to identify. The weakness which I wrote down were Illustrator,Public speaking which links into confidence, putting myself down which in tale is a common thing when your just start designing, not staying on track this can be as simple as not keeping focus on work or by not managing my time correctly, Making money this can be as in University you can become very poor by staying at accommodations and having to provide for yourself, explaining ideas which can link into presentation with only scratching the surface and not going in depth on work which I have done and lastly rough work this is down to my drawing skills which I hope to develop throughout the course. Furthermore the opportunity section is to highlight what I have available to me at university to make further progress with my education. These opportunity which the university has to offer are Adobe certificate this is required to pass my PDP module however it has taught me the skills which I need on InDesign, PAL session these are good for meeting new people and learn from more experience students from diffrent year groups who are studying graphic design, Workshop Wednesday can be used to develop a skill outside of the graphic design unit, work experience/work placement can be used to gain additional on the graphic design job which we want to strive to get and PDF contest which can be used to advertise myself or add work to my portfolio. Lastly is threats these are big things which can effect my learning. Furthermore the three main threats which I discovered were time management which can easily be taken for granted when you have other important stuff in your life, money and deadlines which is the main threat as submitting too late can lead you to fail.
